Well, I had my 3 month check up today, and it went well. I think my surgeon was pleased with my progress so far, and really pushing to up my exercise. I have been a bit lax the last week, but back to the Y in the AM. I'd really like to be under 200 by my birthday in late January. If I'm smaller than that, I'll take that, too! LOL I'll be going back at the end of January for my 6 month appointment, too, so even more incentive to push myself. kiss

Congratulations!  Keep up the hard work!  I'm sure you'll be under 200 in no time!

How is food tasting to you now and going down and settling?

For the most part, everything is fine. I do have some difficulty with meat--even with sauce, juiciness, etc. I can't seem to do poultry or beef (unless it's ground), but pork and fish are fine. Everything tastes fine, and I do notice more sweetness in things. The first couple of months I had a serious salt craving, and over salted my food. LOL Now, it's calmed down so I'm not ready to invest in a salt lick.

I am having a hard time with my protein shakes now, though. I do eat regular food, but I was using the protein shakes as a breakfast or snack or if I felt like I needed extra protein. So, I'm on the hunt for a new, vegan one because I'm also fighting recurring yeast infections (yuck).
