I had rny surgery on the 16th of Oct. and was smooth sailing for awhile.  Only within the last 2weeks have I been easily getting sick.  I ate one small bite of chicken and had to throw it up.  It has been about an hour now and I still dont feel good.  What in the world is going on?

I had my surgery 6 days before you. It sounds like a stricture. I had an endoscopy with balloon dilation which seemed to work for a few days, but now I am back to throwing up. I have another endoscopy scheduled for January but might have to have it done sooner. You should probably call your surgeon to let him know.

Is it possible that you have been getting lax about how well you are chewing your food?  Not chewing well enough can cause your pouch to get fussy, especially with things like chicken.  I did not throw up any food at all until I was 18 months out, and then I ate some dry chicken too quickly (did not chew it well enough) and I got sick and threw it back up.

It is also possible that it is a stricture if it is happening with all kinds of food and not just some.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

I'm almost 3 months out and I throw up occasionally. I think it is because I eat too fast or don't chew properly. I immediately thought stricture because of all the stories I've read on here, but if I chew properly I'm fine, meats can feel heavy, but don't always make me sick.
