i just made some choco chip cookies tonight...followed the recipe on the back of the chip package..but used almond butter and reg butter, used whole wheat flour and oat flour and ground flax seed, i used honey, molassis and real pure maple syrup with some raw un-process suga and some stevia,r instead of all the white and brown sugar the reciepe called for...i made a double batch as family will be taking some to work and school and i plan to take some to dance class tomorrow...i used dark choco chips with mint in one batch..and just the regular choco chips in the other batch...

they acutally tasted very good...and chewy...

i can not handle the sugar acohols that the put in the sugar free items so i try to stay away from it as much as possible..

good luck, check out Niks site...bariacticfoodie..she has tons of recipes on there..

Order Whey Low in the white and gold varieties. Tastes like sugar, bakes like sugar and no sugar alcohol side effects.  Wonderful stuff and people do not know the difference.  Use any recipe with Whey Low in place of the sugar.

Where do you order this from?? I do a LOT baking and this sounds perfect for me--I've never heard of it. Thanks.

This is my "healthier" Oatmeal Raisin Cookie recipe. It is not, however, low calorie as it is made with almond flour (ground almonds) instead of white flour.

1.5 cups almond flour

3 cups old fashion oats

1 cup Splenda

2 sticks of butter, softened

3/4 cup raisins

2 eggs

1 teas. baking soda

1 teas. ground cinnamon

1 teas. vanilla extract

First mix (with a hand mixer) on medium the butter and Splenda, reduce speed to low and add in the eggs and vanilla. When that is totally blended add in the flour, cinnamon and baking soda. Then mix in by hand the oats and raisins.

Scoop by teaspoonful onto nonstick cookie sheet and cook at 350 for 10 minutes. Note that the cookies pretty much keep the shape that you start them at.

My non-WLS friends love these!! I did try using regular sugar for them one time because they don't need the Splenda and that didn't work AT ALL!
