My band is being removed on the 18th. Insurance started approving the sleeve, but my doc says no, not an option because it makes gerd worse and I have suffered from it since 2007. So after 2 failed bands and a hernia repair I'm gonna do it! I'm still a bit nervous about the bypass, but my husband has had one and has done really well. I also have a friend who converted to a bypass a couple of years ago and she said it is the best thing she has ever done and she looks great. I am apprehensive, but I feel like it is a logical choice.
I didn't intend to be so lengthy. I just wanted you to know you are not alone. Hang in there, and keep us posted on your progress. I will do the same. I promise I won't write a novel the next time. I have been praying for peace with my decision and I can't wait til I am on the other side. I will keep you in my prayers.
