Is 1000 enough?

Hi guys it's me again,

I did some research on my surgeon this morning. I found out the he has done a lil over 1000 surgeries. Is this enough for me to feel comfortable with? He is also the new head of bariatrics at Ocala Regional Hospital. Any insight would be appreciated.

Do you know over what period of time?  Mine does something like in the 300's per year.  You can also google his/her name and put reviews after it the name.

Congrats on ur decision to have WLS! 1000 sounds like alot but its not to some people. How do u feel after finding out that he's done 1000+ surgeries? If that makes u feel at ease then you've found your surgeon. I am having my surgery in Ocala as well different hospital though. If you are still in the early stage and haven't 100% decided on a Surgeon yet I can give u some info on my Surgeon. GOOD LUCK!

My surgeon did a little over 400 when he did mine.I was comfortable, as I knew him and his reputation from working at the hospital where he does surgery. I was also comfortable because the office I go to has a team of highly qualified people for pre and post care, and I personally spoke with several prior patients.
I researched the doctor, hospital, and surgeons office... just like I reasearched the procedure, etc.
What felt right for me, may not feel rigjt for someone else.
