OT AGAIN..couple more ?? on scrubs again...AND thrift store shopping spree....
ok ladies, thank you so much for your replys on wearing scrubs.....i went to some thrift stores today with daughter and her friends..while i was there i thought why not check to see if they have scrubs..boy did they ever..all kinds of them...but i have to have navy blue...and between the 2 goodwills i went to today, i found 3 short sleeve shirts, 1 long sleever shirt and 2 pairs of pants....all for 3.29 each....so i thought not too bad....i got 2 dickies brand pull on, short sleeve, 2 cherokee snap front, one long sleeve one short sleeve, i got a fundamentalspull on with a bit of elastic on the very back...i got a V life draw string pants with a fake front fly....and a pait of season ticket pants...not sure if they are scurbs..butt they were on the rack with the scrubs...
they are all polyester/cotten blend.....but here is my question.....they are slightly different shades of navy blue...can i add some RIT dye to them and try and get them all the same shade of navy?? will they accept the dye?? they didnt say short sleeve or long sleeve for the school, but i went ahead and got the long sleeve just in case i can wear it as a jacket if needed....so even tho i was on the fence about going to school, this just committed me to going....ha ha lol lol..
anhow i also found an all leather Liz Clayborn purse with lots of zippers and divders in the middle of it...it has lot of pockets and just love it...got it for 6.99....my daughter found a leather breif case type of case, it looks and feels like saddle bags leather for a horse....and they wanted 4.99 for it...but when we got to counter, we realized it was missing the long handle and the lady marked it down to 2.99...my daughter was extactic...she didnt want the handle anyhow.. but got a great deal on a leather breifcase type of bag...i also found a hoover floor mate, it is an upright vacuum for bare floors, but it also has scrubbing brushes on it and you can fill it up with cleaner to scrub bare floors and it sucks up the wet stuff after scrubbing....i have looked at these for many years..but at the time they were like 200.00, i got this one for 25.00 i also got a long white skirt that has eyelettes down the front and sides from middle thigh to bottom of skirt.....i now own 2 dresses..well this skirt and a fancy black dress with a shrug i bought for a wedding/...and its also long, or mid calf length....
so it was a fun day of thrift shops and good will today....and i just cant beleive i found some scrubs that some of you mentioned on here....thanks again for the time and energy you all gave to me in my hunt for scrubs..
have a great christmas and happy new year to everyone

I love the thrift store! I have to dress nice for work every day (and it sucks) but buying business type clothes is expensive! Ann Taylor wants $75 for a pair of pants...don't think so even thought they are great pants.
Forget the mall, I go to the thrift stores and get great stuff for hardly nothing. There is a little church thrift store here in town that has $1 clothes on saturday, so I try to get down there as often as possible. I always find my Ann Taylor pants there and usually a cute top or a bag. One of the best finds was a Hobo Coach bag for $1 yay!
I went this weekend to Savers and got two pairs of Big Star jeans, and a pair of Danskos the jeans were 6.99 each and the Danskos were 4.99.
Wish I was thrifting now, but I am at work :( oh well Thrift store this Saturday!
