I think I may addicted to Homemade Cheese Crisps

Last nite I was struggling to get my protein in so i made some 1oz cheese crisps, some mozzarella and some cheddar (low fat of course).  Rather that baking or microwaving, i made them in my super duper green as seen on TV frying pan.  Only took a minute or so and slid right out of the magic pan!

Major protein, curbed my craving for crunchy/salty, goes into the tummy like a dream.  Now the challenge is to not eat them all at once :D

How do you make them

Some people use the oven, I prefer to use my super nonstick skillet on the stovetop.  I just use plain shredded cheese, put 1 oz in the pan spread out fairly thin and fry til they start to crisp up.  I usually then flip them and quickly finish up the other side.

Do you use shredded cheese or just slices of cheese?

Shredded cheese and it works very well on parchment paper in the microwave. It takes about 30 seconds in my microwave.

i kinda do that too..but i use the pizza toppings we like best and make pizza chips....pizza with out  the crust....all the cheese, and meats you like, onions, mushrooms...all chopped up fine...then add cheeses...and i also add, oreagno, garlic, italian seasoning...go light on these as i did add too much one time and not so good...mix this all up...

spray some parchment paper and then place globs on and in oven to melt..we like them a little crispy around the edges....dunk in pizza sauced of your choice....they are good old the next day too....one time i did a whole small cookie sheet like a pizza and it turned out ok too...just could not pick it up...ate it with a fork..but i use to eat my pizza with a fork anyhow.....

but i like the chips better, but that day i was in a hurry...

good luck
