No, I didn't......but that was easy to do because I didn't have one, wink I don't think that I would have though because I was (and still am) so committed to the process. My "last meal" was protein first, no potato and steamed veggies with no butter and no dessert, LOL!!

I was on the 2 week 4 BA shakes a day diet & I cheated once towards the end of my 2 weeks. My husband & kids were having pizza & the smell consumed me. I love love love pizza. I am ashamed to say I did not tell my surgeon & as far as I know it had no negative impact on my surgery.

My pre op consisted of protein shakes two meals a day with the third meal having a low carb meal normally baked chicken with a veggie. I lost 15 pounds and the surgeon said my liver was small and very pliable. The last two days were only liquid. I did not cheat.

I didn't have to do the 2 week liquid diet pre-op.  Instead, my surgeon requires that her patients lose 5% of their body weight (which for me, was 16 lbs.) during the pre-op process and keep it off up until the day of surgery.  She warned me that if I had gained even 1 lb. of the 16 that I was required to lose the day of surgery that she'd cancel my surgery.  I lost 20 lbs pre-op and didn't have any gain.

She congratulated me after my surgery in the recovery room, saying that my pre-op weightloss made her job that much easier because my liver was no longer fatty and heavy.

I did have one 'last meal' at my favorite italian restaurant of pasta and meatballs w/marinara sauce.  I ate bread & butter too and had desert.  I did it a week before my surgery to make sure that if there was any gain from it that I could lose it again.  This helped me from going crazy will lots of 'last suppers' and I'm happy I didn't have to do the 2 week liquid phase.

I had a one week diet and really didn't feel a need to cheat. The protein shakes kept me feeling quite full. I am one of those patients doctors love-if you tell me to do it to good results, I will do as you say!

I was lucky...no pre-op diet except for liquids 2 days before which was of course easy to do as it was only 2 days.  I had planned the usual farewell to food that many folks do and got sick so was not able to indulge  :P

My 14 day diet was 2 Boost Glucose Control shakes, 1 orange, 1 carbmaster yogurt, 1 cup raw veggies, 4 oz turkey lunchmeat, 2 slices natures own whole wheat bread, and 10 baby carrots.    I did not cheat at all.  Sometimes I omitted the bread because I didn't like it.  I was too scared to cheat - I wanted my liver in the best shape possible for my surgeon.  I consumed everything really slowly and consumed a little bit of it every couple hours.  Lost 16 pounds in those 14 days.

My pre-op diet was 2 weeks clear liquid plus enough protein shakes to reach 65g of protein a day.

I did not cheat at all.  Every time I felt hungry I pictured my doctor cutting into my intestines and realizing quickly I had eaten solid food.  That mental image kept me on the diet.

My pre-op diet was 3 shakes a day and all the green veggies I could handle. For the first few days, I was eating a lot of broccoli. After 4 days, I was no longer hungry and had mostly shakes without any veggies. I even took my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese and ordered her pizza and did not cheat by having any, as much as I wanted to. I lost 24 pounds in 2 weeks.
