I am home

I got to come home yesterday.  The trip home was very painful, as was attempting to sleep in my bed last night.  Moving the CPAP machine to the living room tonight so I can sleep in the recliner.  I have already lost most of what I put on fluid-wise following surgery.  Just one more pound.  Pain meds taste gross.  I am getting up and walking every 2 hours.  Trying to get my water and protein shake in.  But the protein shake tastes horrible.  I am so glad it is only a sample and I didn't buy a tub of that crap  lol  I am really tired today.

Congratulations, you are on your way. Yes those pain meds are nasty.

Glad you are home!  You should get some rest tonight sleeping in the recliner.  Try using pillows to get as comfortable as you can.

Get the protein in, if you can.  Right now, staying hydrated is your most important thing.  Its very easy to get dehydrated and quickly.  If you get nauseous, feel sick, or start vomiting, call the doc right away and have them get you some anti-nausea meds.  Keep up with your pain meds (for the first week at least), get as much rest as you can, and continue walking.

I hope you start feeling better soon ((((HUGS))))

Glad to hear you are home-I am sure you can rest better there. Walk as much as you can and just keep sipping. You will feel better each day!

Glad to hear you are home. I have one more day in the hospital, then home. I'm walking up a storm and drinking what in supposed to. Without jinxing myself, I am feeling pretty normal. Hope you can get more rest. :)

Glad you're home. It sounds like you are doing what you should as far as getting rest. I on the other hand have been having a hard time remembering I just had major surgery. I need to work more on slowing down, I've been doing too much. Hopefully it won't catch up with me now that I am planning to slow down for a bit.

All the best :)
