So, am I getting hunger back?

The past few days I've noticed that I'm hungrier than usual. However, I don't physically feel hunger. I think it's just boredom setting in, and I'm drinking more fluids to stave off this head feeling. Anyone else go through this? Is this really me getting my hunger back?

Protein shakes or bars between meals..... At least from what I read helps a ton!

So weird, I have been feeling the same way! I thought it was because I'm sick and stuck in the house being bored! Hopefully once I get better and start moving again, I won't notice it as much. Until then, I have been drinking protein hot chocolate and tons of water.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one thinking I was going crazy. LOL I've been inside a bit more than usual, but I'm making myself to go to the Y. I'm also thinking that with the holidays, we've got stuff around that I wouldn't normally eat that is tempting my brain, like chocolate hazelnut everything. Haha!

There is no rule of thumb as to when the hunger will return.  Mine returned at 6 months. People are all different. Some right from the beginning, some not for a long time some in a few months.   Don't be fooled into thinking that the surgery staves off hunger for any time period.  Many are devastated that they now are hungry but we were told in our bariatric program that hunger does not disappear for any set time.  Jane

Yeah, I was told the same thing. I was just curious if this was the beginning of hunger coming back or mind tricks with all the junk from Christmas. LOL

I think it's just a combo of everything.  Some days I could eat like a big dog if I am not careful and some days I have no hunger at all.  Jane

I know where you are coming from, I am having surgey on the 10th of Jan. and have been doing some nervous eating.  I am usually walk a lot and that helps, but it is very cold outside right now.  I have to get some protein powder to have on hand after my surgery.  I have tried to limit myself to only a cup of food when I eat, even if I have to measur it out in quarter cup amounts.  That seems to work for me.   I guess that you can get your hunger back, but it usually happens after a year.  Godd luck I am sure that you will do fine.
