Well I started having abdominal pain again yesterday morning like I did a while back & decided I would stick it out at work all day & if it didn't get better I would go into the ER to get it checked out. Well it didn't get better no matter what I was doing so I had my husband take me in when I came home from work. We arrived at the very packed ER about 5:45 pm ish & didn't leave till about 12:15 am. They took an Xray, Cat scan with the contrast, blood work & urine sample. All my test came back ok & the bariatric surgeon on call said he thought that I didn't need to have exploratory surgery since in May when I had these same pains they did surgery & already repaired 3 hernias & adhesions & being this far out he felt it was unlikely it would be hernias, so they sent me home with pain meds. I have a massive hangover headache from the 3 doses of dilaudid they gave me while I was there. Woke up this morning to a voicemail from the surgeon on call. Tried calling him back but of course he is in surgery. Why would he be calling me? Kinda has me worried. They did say that I did have a lot of stool in my system, but I do go regularly at least every other day & take 4 stool softeners a day & one dose of laxative on the weekend to try & clear things out. I just don't know why he would be calling me.

It is possible that he is just calling to see if the pain has subsided.  He may also have called to suggest something that was not passed on to you before you left the ER.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

That is possible. I'm just hoping it's not another surgery.
