Icd9 for psych work before/after surgery?
I am trying to submit my OOP payments for psych eval + 1session to insurance. The from I must use (UHC) gives me a list of icd9s to pick from -only mental health diagnoses. My psych is stumped as he has always used the obesity code without issue but that is not an option. can anyone help me? Thanks-

Insurance companies often will not pay for psych services unless you have a psych diagnosis. Do you have depression or anxiety or something like that, which could be used? If not, your insurance many not cover the cost.
