Vets...what's your sugar, junk food intake?

I eat whatever I want with the exception of sugar and gluten, which I don't eat because I don't like the consequences of eating those things. At first I ate things with sugar alcohols because I get real constipated and I used them like a laxative but after a while I guess my body got used to them because they don't affect me at all now. I have sugar free ice cream, pudding or candy every day. I don't have as a treat or to reward myself, I have them because I enjoy them and they are easy to grab. I also have fruit for the same reason. Like others, I don't assign a good or bad label to food. Food isn't my problem, I am my problem. As long as I get in a sufficient amount of protein and I'm not sitting around mindlessly popping stuff in my face, I put in food I enjoy in my plan. If I find myself obsessing about certain foods, or I find that I can't eat a reasonable amount and be satisfied I will not plan on that food for a while. So far the only thing I watch out for is popcorn. I can have that occasionally but if I find myself wanting it all the time, to the exclusion of healthier things I take it out of my plan for a while.

Nine ish years out and I allow myself small amounts of junk but I don't call it junk.

If I'm going to eat cookies, I make them and the same with other stuff.  I know what is in my food.  If I want fries, I make them, etc. etc.

I also run or work out a lot and my calorie allowance is huge due to this so I don't regain but I sure did at at two years out.

Whole foods, in moderation and staying very active makes for a hungry, healthy RNYer-at lest in my case.

I adore sugar.

At over four years out and at goal, nothing is off limits. I have had to refocus on food quality but heck, if I really want something I have it.

Be happy.

As far as I know I am still 1 lb below goal and honestly I don't want to know differently but that said I did have some candy and desserts over the holidays, but now I am in full diet mode until Valentines day, and then another full diet until Easter.  Thankfully my favorite candys are only out seasonally.  If you want to have treats you must sacrifice somewhere else, the calories count and hey are not protein so don't help your body.  My favorite junk is chocolate covered marshmellow candy, russell stover or peeps; or cheetos.  And when I do allow junk its only on the weekends.  I am very strict with my rules.
