Bariatric Advantage vs Slim Fast shakes

If the Bariatric Advantage shake was to be 5 a day with 27 grams of protein vs the 15 grams I get with Slim Fast does that mean I should be drinking 10 shakes a day of slim fast to get the same amount? PLEASE HELP!

BA shake, if I'm correct, are 150-160 calories per shake.  If you drink 5, you are consuming 750-800 calories.  I believe slimfast shakes are around 200 calories.  If you drink 10 you are consuming 2000 calories.  Not a good idea.

Have you tried EAS ready to drink protein shakes?, they come in packs of 4 (you can get them at walmart in the pharmacy section for less than $5).  110 calories, 17g protein. 11oz.   You need 60-80g of protein with RNY, so 4-5 EAS shakes would do it. (for 550-660 calories).

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=1939964 0&findingMethod=rr    DO the Slim fast low carb ones. They are 20grams, and only 2 carbs. And no you dont need to do 10, do 5, they are wanting you to take in a set number of calories. I did 4 shakes, wasnt hungry enough to do 5.

The Slim Fast low carb shakes are much better for you. More protein (20 g vs 15 g) and much much lower sugar (2 g vs 18 g) than the high protein ones. No, you would not drink 10 Slim Fast shakes.

My surgeon wants 75 grams of protein a day. I am doing 3 of the low carb slim fast shakes a day. They have 20 grams of protein and 180 calories each. That does add up to 540 calories a day just in protein drinks; so I am seeking out something lower calorie higher protein. I was never actually told a number of calories to try to stay under? The other 15 grams of protein are coming from eating high protein meals 3 times a day.
