Is 1/4 c of cottage cheese too much?
Do you have marching orders from your surgeon or nutritionist? I'd check that first, if you do.
I'm 1 month PO and I was eating about 1/4 - 1/2 C. of soft foods like cottage cheese, depending on how I felt at around 10 days PO. In fact, I'm still eating about 1/2 C. at a time.

It's difficult and a learning period early out for sure. I do think it was wise to stop at what you ate. You won't feel a full sensation right now because the nerves were cut and will take some time to get a full feeling back.

Pureed lean ham (moistened w/no sugar apple sauce or LF mayo) has settled well for me, but my surgeon is pretty open on the protein source, as long as it's lean. I've been buying the 97% fat free ham steaks and mincing them up in the food processor.
I've also done very well with tofu and fish, which I coo****il moist and flaky and then just mash a little with a fork and chew really well.
