pain on the leftside of my waist - really painful
I've had no issues with the RNY that I had 16 months ago, but last week I was sick with complications from an unrelated op. I had a fever and pain. Right now a week later, the fever is gone but I have a profound pain on the left side of my waist which is radiating around my back. (I'm on anti-biotics) It's not constant and it is helped with my Tylenol 3. But after a few hours it comes back. It is a sharp stabbing pain in bursts and general tender area the rest of the time. Has this anything to do with Gall Bladder - mine got left in but I've had no issues but don't know if my endometrial ablation could have aggravated my insides in a way to give me GB problems.
I know Gall bladder can be as issue for wls, so I thought I'd ask around here to see if what I am describing sounds like a gall bladder issue. I sure hope not, but I don't know what is going on.
My gallbladder pain was on the right side and in my back. I also had nausea after eating. Have you contacted your surgeon? I don't have an idea what your pain is, but do please go get it checked out and let us know.
take care.
