Wait, where does your mom work? Would her center manager have patients who are successful at the surgery, or just the ones who have severe complications?

And what about the severe complications of obesity?

Hi Melissish! We have the same date and I am scared too but this is something that will give me so much the benefits outweigh the risks a billion times over. I am an Endoscopy nurse and I see patients everyday with complications at work but no one wears a sign at the grocery or the mall that says "I had RNY and I did GREAT". My weight might not kill me but I want to live rather then just exist! Hugs to you and we will help each other. Pitter

Thank you so much. It's nice to be able to come on here and get encouragment when you start feeling down. It's hard when your family says, we don't really want you to do the surgery, but we support you. That doesn't feel very supportive to me. I'll be thinking of you and hope everything goes well for you too. Keep me posted!
