First check up

I had my first check up with the surgeon at the beginning of the week.  I am down 18 lbs since surgery as of today.  The surgeon was very happy and said if I continue at this rate, I will be above average for loss.  Yay!  Nut went over my logs and was happy, though wanted me to try to eat more meals a day, which I have been better about this week.  I do hate not having a calorie count though.  Absolutely hate it.  But they don't want me worrying about it right now, just counting protein and water.

But, I am back to feeling myself and have been doing great with the stationary bike.  I started at two 10-minute sessions a day in the beginning and am up to one 20-minute now, riding about 5 1/4 to 5 1/2 miles a day.  Next week, I will up it to 30 minutes and shoot for at least 7 miles.

I am hoping the weight loss picks back up.  The first week I lost 16.  I went up 2 and then back down 2 the second week and this week I lost 2.

Oh yeah, and the surgeon set my goal weight, which is 10 lbs lighter than I had it set, down to 140.  We will see about that!  I think I was pre-teen last time I weighed that little.

Yay for you!  Congrats! I am so excited.  I had my surgery the same day as you and it looks like our weight loss is pretty close (I wont confirm my weight with the surgeon until my next appt 2/1).  And you exercising already is pretty awesome!  Yay again!

You can and will reach that lower goal your surgeon picked if you keep working hard. When I originally picked my goal I said 160 because I never imagined ever getting there. But now that I am 20 weeks out and at 175 I lowered my goal weight. I may lower it more too because now I know I can do this! You can too!
