So I'm nearing the end of day 2 of my 10 day liquid diet. Day 1 was very easy, day 2 much harder. I did break down and have 1 can of tuna with a little salt and pepper on it for lunch. That helped so much. Other than that it has only been sf popcicles, sf jello crystal light broth soups and v8. My surgeon told me if I needed something I could have some tuna or cooked chicken. He said I was a lighter weight than most people who have the surgery so that would be okay. I'm wondering if it would be okay to have some tuna or small amount of chicken everyday for lunch? I would stick solid to the liquid other than that. Ant sugesstion? I know why we do it to shrink liver, so don't need that spill.

WOW 10 days. Mine was only 4 days liquid diet. Dr. Jeffery Lord # 1 Bariatric practice in Florida did mine on 11/7/12 and he said it went very well. Lost 47 lbs so far.

Mine is 14 days and I am on day 10. My plan is liquids and jello, sf pudding, yogurt, etc.. If the surgeon told you it is ok to have the solids then I would think you would be ok, but might want to check with their office,

If your surgeon said you can have it, then it should be fine. My surgeon isn't making me do one, but I am doing a modified one anyway.

I'm on day 22 (surgery Monday) and my Dr. said "NOT EVEN A PEANUT!" By day 4 of the Opti shakes I was doing ok. (Lost 22lbs while doing it.)
