Pouch Anatomy question for vets
Got a question as I'm re-reading my surgeon's info about his procedure. I'm scheduled for lap RNY on 2/15 and at a recent support meeting learned he does a "long" pouch. His online info for physicians states that his lap patients since 2008 have very long pouches, sometimes 10 to 12 cm in length. That sounds like a pretty big pouch to me, 12 cm is over 4.5 inches.
I hadn't come across anyone with this kind of info just wondering if you all know the size you got. I do plan to ask him about it at my pre-op meeting with him a few days before surgery and would like to have some info from vets for comparison.
Thank you!
I was told mine would be about the size of an egg.

Mine also used the egg reference.

And for some perspective, remember the normal stomach is about the size of a football.
