Floating stools.

One person responding to the pneumonia post said that if you have floating stools vs. sinkers, there is too much air or fat loss in them.  I know my nutritionist keeps asking about this and yes, mine do float at times.  Is this a good or bad thing?

AFAIK, it means that there's fat in your stool. I don't much more than that, though.

Come visit me on my blog, Through a Cooking Glass! I talk about my journey through WLS and learning to live, cook, and eat on the other side.

There is fat in your stool because you had RNY, and now you  malabsorb fats.

cool  LOL!!!!!

No, it seems as if some of you newer ops eat a low fat diet, (which I don't) so I think that would be the difference.   Now,  it's not that I eat fried food (which would still give me diahhrea) but I eat full fat and good fat foods.

Calcium also makes your stools sink like a cement block and I can certainly pass stools that have both wonderful attributes at the same time!!!

Nope.  Maybe you're just eating a very low fat diet.
