Job applications and an interview with my HUGE clothing! NSV!
Yesterday, I went to apply for a few jobs and had an interview, also. Thinking that I'd wear a pair of my black dress pants with a dressy top from last winter, I never gave a thought to seeing if they still fit! I know that my jeans are huge now, but it didn't even occur to me to try things on. As I got dressed, I was just cracking up. My husband was shocked to see that my dress pants could fit the two of us, and when pulled up all the way...they went up over my chest. LOL I had to roll the waistband a few times and they were still huge! The only saving grace was that the top was also huge, but just looked like a loose-fitting style and hung down low enough to cover some of the sagging of the pants.
Honestly, it looked like I borrowed someone else's clothing to go out job searching.
Guess I need to invest in at least two outfits for job searches, huh?
Thanks! I bought an exercise outfit...a warm up jacket and pants...in early January. It was a birthday gift for myself, for my daughter to wrap and "surprise" me. My birthday was the 20th. When I wore it Tuesday, for the first time, the pants are already too big! Good thing it was on sale, or I'd be kicking myself in the butt!
Funny thing is, not too long before I first started thinking about surgery, I cleared out my closet. I used to have a variety of sizes from the years past....from size 9/10 up to 28W. I got rid of anything that didn't fit me at the time. The collection was in hopes that I would lose weight, but at that time, it seemed impossible. I could use some of those in between sizes!
