Job applications and an interview with my HUGE clothing! NSV!
Not sure what Btdt is?
Thank you....I need luck. I'm 52 and trying to decide what I want to be when I grow up! I worked as an LPN for nearly 30 years, was in the process of getting my RN degree when I just decided to quit my job, quit school, and think about changing directions. I'm thinking about education, but in the meantime, I need an income. People look at me like I'm insane when I apply for minimum wage jobs. It's more than I'm making now. If I can do something that I enjoy, less stress than healthcare, then we will manage to make ends meet.
I should have known that abbreviation! That's a real "duh" moment for me.
My true love, prior to surgery, was cooking. I thought about culinary arts, but I just don't see myself doing that. Unless, somehow, I could combine WLS recipes and cooking...? Maybe open a WLS friendly restaurant. Hmm...near our Weight Management Center. Oh, and with a clothing consignment shop attached! I've got it! LOL
That, and computer programming, were the two things that I was headed towards when I found I was pregnant with my daughter. I continued working as a nurse, though, because it wasn't possible to start school with my new "mommy" career :) I could have, but I wanted to stay at home. Nursing was all I knew at that time. I do regret not going ahead and getting my education.
I'm afraid that I'd lose control of my eating if I went to culinary arts school.
