surgery update

Well, i am officially an rny post op! Doing great! Pain of course, but other than that, it is all good. Already up to walk to the potty, and in a little i will be up and walking with the nurse! Just got a roomie, and i feel bad cause she is a very young girl and she is crying and not doing well i am hoping she will get better.

Congrats, it sounds like things are going really well, before you know it you will be home. I hope your recovery goes great.

Speedy recovery to you and the roomie. Poor thing. Take time to rest and walk, walk, walk. On day two I got to take sips of water, so for tonight if you can't have anything keep your lips mosturized and ask for some mouth swabs. They help..

Thanks. Yeah we tried the swabs and they were not cutting it, so they let me strat sipping today. Wather never tasted so good! Lol my walk went well, did 2 laps of the floor before calling it quits. Now gonna wait for my next shot o' morphine, put on my cpap and go to dream land! So far. So good

I was able to get a few hours of sleep in a row! Wishing i could have my own room, and trying to be empathetic to my roomie at the same time. Hard though, i keep burping, which is good, and did another lap around the ward a few minutes ago, which led to even more burping! Lol guess i should be glad its coming out the top instead of the bottom!
Plus, now i cant get back to sleep and i am super bored...only 4am lol glad for my smartphone thats for sure!
