Versed will knock your a$$ out. Valium will calm you. These are two different meds.

Surgery weight: 232 lbs. / Goal: 145 lbs. Height: 5'5" Fat? Ain't nobody got time for that.

With Versed, it depends on the dose. It is frequently used during cardiac caths. It can be adjusted, as needed, during a procedure.

I heard they give it to you for RNY if your panicky before surgery and its used alot for kids in dental.

Yes, I've had it given before surgery.....made me feel a little giggly but much calmer. Then once in the OR they gave me the really good stuff - lights out!
