Shopping addiction

You are so early in your journey and of course you want to go out there and buy everything that you couldn't fit in to before.  I spent over 5K on clothes when I wasn't even close to being done losing.  I am now almost 6 years out and the novelty has worn off.

It is normal to want to "dress to impress" as your body changes.  I know I bought several new wardrobes in that first losing year....I had to have a decent wardrobe because of my career.  At first, it was only clearance items....not always my favorite things but things that fit well.

As time has gone on, I'm much more picky about what I wear.  Most of it is still clearance, but I buy only what fits well, and is made well.  I know which designers I like, and what sizes I need for each designer. I still keep a "give away" bag in my closet and if I come across something that I just don't like anymore, or something that doesn't fit properly.....well, in the bag it goes.

My style choices are a very wide range though.....I doubt you could call me "predictable" where my wardrobe is concerned!  I like to try different things, but tend toward the more classic styles.  If there is a fad item I want to try, I'll find it on sale or at a discount store so I don't invest a whole bunch. And might I just say I hope the "skinny" pants stick around a while!!  I sure do like those!

And don't even get me started on shoes........I've ventured into some 6+ inch heels lately!
