Well today makes my 1 week out since surgery. Woot woot! Tomorrow is my transistion to stage 2 eating, I can have cooked veggies, nsa applesauce, crackers, chili no meat, low fat cheese, and peanut butter. I am so excited to be able to have something more now. I've been on liquids for 17 days, 10 day preop the 7 days post op. Was wondering what the best cheeses and peanut butter for wls are?

For PB, use PB2 mixed with water. or a natural PB, i personally like Jif natural in the to go packs. and for the cheese, cottage cheese, ricotta cheese with a little speg sauce, I love sharp cheddar.

Laughing cow cheese is really good and you can find flavored hummus at most stores it's really tasty too!

I'm really addicted to Babybel Mini Low Fat cheeses. They don't taste low fat and I enjoy opening the little wax covering. (I'm a 7 yo at heart.) :-) Laughing cow makes yummy cheese wedges that are low fat, too. I also have been enjoying the Cabot brand 50% reduced fat sharp cheddar. For pb, I prefer the Teddy or store equivalent natural peanut butter. It has 2 ingredients: Peanuts & salt. I've also learned that a tiny sprinkle of grated parmesan over my steamed veggies is tastier and has less fat than butter.

Come visit me on my blog, Through a Cooking Glass! I talk about my journey through WLS and learning to live, cook, and eat on the other side.
