So I've been reading Al Roker's "Never going back" book & he talks about the slow method strength training. I'm interested in this form of strength training & was wondering if there are any others out there that has tried this method & what you thought about it. Also if there are some good references on books, videos or whatnot for this type of training.

By the way I'm loving his book. If you haven't read it I suggest you do. He is very down to earth about his journey & what he has experienced. I can relate to a bit of what he talks about in the book as I'm sure most of us can.

I read the book.  It was okay.........pretty much what I expected, but I didn't like the "plugs" for his nutritional person's services he uses.  Most normal folks could never afford that elite service.  I did enjoy hearing about the WLS journey from a man's perspective....they really do go through the same things we do. And I just like Al...so it wasn't a waste.

Slow method of training.  Google it.  There are many options for workouts.  I've tried it, and personally, it bored me to death.  I'm a P90X and boot camp girl.....

I just starting reading that book!!! I am intrigued, I have not quite gotten to that point but I look forward to it. What I have read has been funny, informative, real and brutally honest. Love it!
