dehydration
One major indicator of dehydration is skin "tenting." If you pinch the skin on the back of your hand between your finger and thumb for a few seconds, it should smooth right back out when you let go. If the skin stays "tented" then you are likely dehydrated. I can't tell when you had surgery, but dehydration can be very dangerous in the first week or so right after WLS. So, if you feel like you are not able to get in enough fluids by mouth and have symptoms of being dehydrated, you may want to lean toward the side of caution and give your surgeon a call to see if he/she would like you to go in for some iv fluids.
