How long did everyone wait before trying Wendy's chilli?

I waited until I hit the pureed stage. Brought it home and put it in the blender.  Now I am addicted!!!!  Never ate chili before the surgery and now I eat it at least once a week

I will be making my own chili, but I am so happy that it seems like Mexican food chili and refried beans with cheese seem to settle well with most people.  This also is probably yet another reason for the Gas-X!  Am I going to be bombing everyone around me?  Does this stop after awhile?  I am not normally a gassy person.....I guess it will be payback time to the cat and the dog!!

What Mexican food is safe to have? I like refried beans but I thought we couldn't eat soft or hard shell tacos anymore. One of my absolute Fav's was chicken enchiladas with green chilli but I don't know if I will be able to handle spicy now. I'm still in the puréed stage so I have a long road ahead of me still but today at 4:30am was the first time I woke up hungry or thirsty since surgery. I was happy to get in some applesauce. I am actually trying the chilli now. I have only managed about 5 teaspoons but its a start.

I am almost 3 weeks out and I just last night went to a mexican food restaurant.  I ate some shrimp fajita nachos.  I didnt eat the onions, or peppers because they werent cooked enough but the shrimp queso and nacho chips went down with no problem.  I did get extremely sleepy right after.  I asked about that and was told carbs make some sleepy

When I took my daughter to our favortite mexican place, I had a side of refried beans and mixed a little queso in yum

Way out, I was told we can do about a half of a low carb tortilla.  If you skip the tortillas, most of the other stuff ~ beans, cheese, seasonings seem to be okay.  If you can eat it without the wrapper or use a crunchy lettuce leaf, it would be good.

I do not see where you couldn't eat a hard or soft taco.  It's not what I would call healthy, but I don't see why you couldn't eat it.  I think the soft would be tough to get down for a few months post op, but the hard tortillas should soften nicely when you chew it.

I eat lots of Mexican food.  Chili, enchillada's (minus the tortilla I just eat the filling) refried beans, salsa.  I have had no problems yet.  I actually occasionally have Scoops (6) filled with cheese and salsa for a snack.
