Why am I so hungry in the evenings?

Eating during the day doesn't concern me and I don't eat much. By the time 8 pm rolls around I'm like a bottomless pit.  I hate it.  Any suggestions?

Were you an evening eater ore surgery?  I was and still am, but try to keep lots of healthy snacks around. Some people think it correlates with fatigue andnthat we just need to go to sleep earlier.

I was just asking myself the same question! I'd had some cottage cheese earlier as a "snack" but still wanted to eat. I have some SF jello in the fridge, but really wanted to cook up the sausage!

It's an old habit I need to break. Maybe higher dense protein late dinner at 7-ish might help. And more fluids.

I have issues with it too and have worked with my dietician to work it into my schedule and eating plan. It seems to be helping, normally. I still have times when I graze too much but I'm working on it. Much of it is head hunger or a feeling of being unsatisfied. I wonder if more protein or more fluids would help with some of that. Or maybe, like a previous poster said, I just need to go to bed! Anywhoo - you are not alone!

If you don't eat all day then you will be starving at night.  Eat more during the day.

I have the same problem and I was just thinking that I really need to go to bed early and get up early...just make the lifestyle change regarding my sleeping/waking times and see what happens with the food.  Of couse, I'm writing this at half past midnight...so clearly, I didn't get to bed early tonight!

Night time eating for me is a habit. I associate watching tv/movie with eating popcorn. Sometimes doing a manicure in the evening helps, since I don't want to smudge my nail polish.

When I get like that I go into kitchen and make a pot of coffee and pour my protein shake into coffee to have choc coffee and I drink that insteading of looking for food because the protein makes me feel full so I may drink 2 cups depending on how hungry my pouch thinks it is.

Good Luck,
