First appt with surgeon..

My first appt with my surgeon is on March 1st. They have already verified benefits and I have the referral. I've done so much research over the many years I've been thinking about but I know I should be asking something! Any suggestions on what to ask? Thanks!

I would plan to discuss which surgery they recommend for you. For example, I had some additional GI issues that made RNY a better choice over sleeve or band. Talk to them about your eating challenges and which type of surgery you were considering. Also discuss any concerns you have about surgery or recovery. For example, I had  business trip planned and was worried about lifting my luggage. You may also have specific questions about the hospital stay or medications/vitamins that may need to be discontinued before or after surgery. Good luck!
