still sore

i had my lapband removed on feb 13th laparoscopic and iam still so sore on my left side especially one incision its not red or hot just bruised  should i still be so sore one week later  input please 

YES!!!!!!!!  I was SHOCKED!!!  I went for my two week check up and told him about my terrible pain where my port used to be.  He reminded me that the port was sewn into muscle.  He had to incise the muscle in order to remove the port and that's why my side hurt so bad.  It completely subsided in about 4 weeks.  But WOOOWEEEE it was painful for at least two!  Hang in there.

i called the dr she said that is were she stitched together the muscle thats why its so painful  recommend heat thanks for your input 

I am having band and port removal & lap RnY at the same time on 3/13.  I will be prepared for additional pain as it really is 2 surgeries in one.
