Before my surgery, I bought a few bariatric cookbooks from Amazon.  They had meals I could make through all of the stages after surgery (liquid, pureed, soft, etc).   They have proven very helpful to me.  And, of course, I am always trying recipes from the websites:   bariatricfoodie.com   and  theworldaccordingtoeggface.com

Good Luck!

I'm not a cook, never have been, and I am horrible at following recipes. The first few weeks, my diet consisted of protein shakes, fat free refried beans, fat free string cheese, tuna (with a little fat free mayo and sweet pickle relish), scrambled egg with cheese, greek yogurt (with a small amt of sugar free strawberry preserves) and deli sliced turkey. That was basically it. Now I am able to eat a little more solid foods like boneless, skinless chicken breast, lean ground beef, and talapia or salmon. I know you said you don't do fish, because you don't know how to fix it...there are some wonderful frozen fish options that are seasoned and everything. Gortons has several kinds of these and all you do is pop a filet in the oven. Hope this helps and good luck!

You could go back and read some of the "What are you eating today" posts. There is one nearly everyday. Seeing what other people are eating always gives me ideas.
