Mine was a very easy recovery, even with having one of the 4 incisions having to be about an inch and a half long because of the mesh I had for a hernia repair.  That larger incision caused me to be off work an extra week, and some additional pain, but was still one of the easiest surgeries I have ever had.

I was only 17 when I had mine out, so it was a breeze even tho it was an open surgery. I had issues far a year and a half before that, so I was glad to be rid of it!

Thanks everybody for your post. I cant wait to get this bad boy out. It started on wednesday night after I had some chicken thigh dipped in buffalo sauce and ranch. About an hour later I was throwing up and then the pain in my side started. It was horrible! My surgeons nurse said the spicy buffalo likely triggered the attack. I had the ultrasound friday morning and the tech did ask me during the ultrasound if they checked me before the surgery which they didnt. I dont know if its common to have it checked or not. My surgeon said its from the fast weight loss. Im right at 60 pounds lost since surgery. March 12 will be 3 months post op. Hopefully my recovery is fast I am doing it over my spring break march 2nd-9th and they are tring to get me scheduled for the 6th. Im just praying that I dont get another attack in the next week because it was so so bad.
