7 inches of snow falling and more on its way. 2 hr late start for the schools is messing with my gym plans. I'm still going but my preschooler won't be able to go to the kid's activity they have there. Bummer. Might get more activity in if I have to do some shoveling. Hubby is plowing now but once he's off to work, I may end up out there again if the snow accumulates enough. Have plans tonight to shop with a friend - finally some new clothes that fit! - but we will see if the weather allows for that. Fingers crossed.

Breakfast: Protein shake

Lunch: Turkey burger

Snack: Greek yogurt with fruit

Supper: Homemade chop suey with a little bit of rice

Snack: Greek yogurt with fruit

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all!

I'm actually hoping for some snow here tonight. We have barely seen any all winter and they are predicting 5-10 in. for our area. Otherwise, today is pretty standard. I did our weekly grocery shopping yesterday because people around here panic when any kind of snow is predicted, so I know the store will be a zoo after work today. My husband is having dinner with his dad tonight so it will just be me and the pup hanging out tonight.

I had an experience today that is new to me, but I am sure is not uncommon. Someone brought a beautiful, fragrant coconut cake into work for coffee time. It's not that I was tempted to eat it, I'm really dedicated to my day-fasts, but it made me feel very depressed. Coconut cake was my mother-in-law's favorite food, and I made her one on her last birthday that she said was the best she'd ever had. I can't believe she's been gone for four months now. It still doesn't feel real sometimes. When I go to my in-laws' house, I still expect to see that little plate of carrots and ranch dip or chips and salsa that she would put out for my husband. But today was really the first time it hit me unexpectedly.

Anyway, enough of being Debbie Downer. Food today:

Day - Coffee and water

Evening - I DO WHAT I WANT. Haha, no I just mean I only have to think about cooking for me since Joe is going out. Our farm delivery came this morning, so I have fresh milk, eggs, and turkey sausage. I'm thinking breakfast for dinner! Crust-less broccoli and swiss quiche with some of that turkey sausage on the side. Snacks will be kashi protein bars, raw veggies, maybe a turkey sausage (they're about 1.5 oz a piece), and a brown-butter salted crispy rice treat. I made them last night and they are super-delicious. I always cut them into small squares that end up being about 50 cal. each. A perfect dessert treat!

Have a happy Tuesday all!
