Support group teleconference
If anyone is lacking support in their local community, a few of us have been maintaining a phone support group on Tuesday nights at 7:30p-8:30p. Please contact me, Kelly or Lora if you wish to participate in our group.
We often talk about practical issues after WLS - food choices, progress, mental health, exercise, maintenance.... We're looking for new group members who can commit to joining the teleconference on a weekly basis, as it helps to build rapport & trust as we all get to know each other.
This isn't a therapy group (though a few of us are therapists!), there is no cost, and marketing/pressure is strongly discouraged. We've maintained this group as an open & supportive environment for those who cannot make their surgeons' in-person support groups or who are geographically-isolated.

nfarris79, Can you give some ideas on how to start a group like yours? The time zone difference makes it hard for me to attend (I would love to though!) I don't get off wor****il at least 6 at night. Any tips would be great.
Another group member of ours started the teleconference thru Free Conference Call.com (I think). Audix is the company, if I recall. Might do a Google search on it, as I'm fuzzy on the details!
