Question re: RNY surgery..

A while back I recall seeing a post in regards to the length of bowel that went from your pouch to the joining of the stomach (rest of your bowel connection). Hope I am explaining this enough.... 

The post was in regards to the length of this portion of bowel and how the length would related to your weight loss ...

I believe if I recall correctly the poster quoted (in numbers) what was considered a short length vs a long length of small bowel in this area. (Knowledge that we would obtain off our surgical reports).

If anyone can shed any light on this issue I appreciate it...

Are you asking, "How much of the initial portion of intestine is bypassed?"  It's about 100cm, just enough to shave off a bit of the fat you digest (protein is not malapsorbed).
