I'm 9 weeks out and have been drinking protein drinks like there's no tomorrow!  I'm mildly bored and wanted a change up.  I ordered Quest protein bars, 21 grams of protein in cookie dough and fudge brownie - no sugar alcohols and lots of fiber, which I haven't been getting.  I ate a half of the cookie dough bar last night for dinner as I was on the run and WOW!!!! No nausea, no vomiting and the taste was so awesome!!!! So this morning I had a half of the brownie for breakfast!  I'm so excited to have a little something to add some variety.  They aren't too sweet and full of the good stuff!  Does anyone else eat them?  I don't really count carbs but they seem to have like 21-25.  Is that okay?  I  haven't noticed any kind of reaction from them but I also haven't eaten really any starches or anything to know if I dum*****t.  I kind of don't even want to know or experience!

My favorite Quest bars are the peanut butter and Jelly, strawberry cheesecake,  and apple pie.  The lemon cream pie is disgusting.  I don't have any problems with them.  I don't dump on sugar.  I keep a bar in my purse at all times so I have a good option and avoid a bad choice when out and about.

How many calories are in these bars?

Both flavors I have say 160, so about 80 calories I guess, as I eat half.

Whether 21-25 carbs is OK will really depend on you and your body.  I don't count fiber or sugar alcohols as carbs (I don't believe that they get absorbed by the body), so the carb count, for me, would be closer to 2, depending on the bar.  Lots of people have differing opinions about carbs, so it really depends on your body and what you believe.

But, yes, I do eat them on occasion.

That is exactly what the bar pkg said - 2 "active" carbs.  I seemed okay with it, my pouch was happy.  At this stage of the came, its so hard to figure out what I think is "right or wrong" about food, etc.  I think I'm going to go with being happy about it.  If my pouch is happy, I'm happy!  Thanks!

I am with you and love brownie and cookie dough best I used to try to make something that good, but Quest is the greatest.

GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe carry them, not all flavors though. Cookie dough can only be.bought on-line as of now. Same with the pb cups.
