I am taking 6 vitamins!! Yikes! My girlfriend only takes 2-Calcium Citrate and a multi-vitamin. Is anyone else taking 6?

Morning: Pantaprazole (for reflux-30 min. before breakfast), Multivitamin, Ca Citrate (500 mg), Magnesium,

Afternoon: Ca Citrate

Evening (7:00): Ca Citrate, Multivitamin, Vitamin D

Evening (9:00) iron w/ stool softener

Sunday (once a week): b12 (sublingual)

Is this okay? I have to space out the Ca Citrate and the iron, right?

Would love to see what you all are taking and when!

Thank you,

Pam

Do you give yourself the B12 shot?

Thank you, Kelly!

I do give myself the B12 shot.  It's really easy.  I was kind of squeamish about it at first but it's very quick and easy and doesn't hurt.  It would be a huge pain, plus expensive, to go to my doc's office once a week for a shot.

I take two adult multi -vitamins daily.  One at breakfast and one after dinner.  I take 3 Ca (500 mg) throughout the day.  I shoot for the meals but don't always remember them.  Check with your doctor before changing your vitamin intake.  I started with one a day but my blood work said I needed more.

Good luck, Jim

As a pre-op person I really appreciate this thread. It's good for me to look at your schedules. I like the idea of taking the calcium with meals--a good way to remember to take it.

Just make sure if your multivitamin has iron you are taking calcium 2 hours after.
