I have been looking for them and found them ay GNC for $2.79 each. Is there a less expensive place to buy them perhaps online? I am 8 weeks out and still lacking a little protein. They sound good and lots of you use them. Just wondering

I love Quest bars! I either buy them from Amazon.com or directly from the Quest bar website http://www.questproteinbar.com/. Amazon is great if you or anyone you know is an Amazon Prime member because you get free 2 day shipping. I pay $24.99 for a box of 12 on Amazon, which is still $2.09 a bar, but extremely worth it in my opinion. The price is the same on the Quest website. I'm not sure how computer savvy you are, but usually when I order off the Quest website I Google "Quest coupon codes" to at least get a free shipping code. I always went for the chocolate brownie ones because it seemed like the ultimate best nutrition wise, but I really enjoyed ordering the sampler pack and trying all of them (Amazon didn't have the full sampler pack so I ordered this right from Quest for $25.99 ). There wasn't one in particular that I hated so it may be worth it to find which ones you like! You can also order them individual off the Quest website for $2.39.

Also on the Quest website, you get 10% off when you sign up for auto-delivery. I haven't tried this- just noticed it on their website.

Have you actually tried eating one already?  They are VERY dense and may cause pouch discomfort so early out.  My surgeon, who had a very liberal post-op eating plan (soft foods on Day Three, solid foods at 1 week out), did not permit protein bars of any kind so early out (and discouraged them in general because of the huge amounts of chemicals in them).

Uh oh!  No I have not eaten one yet.  My doc said I could eat what I wanted within the bariatric plan as he called it.  I can't eat with quantity so I was going for quality with an eye on the protein content.  I ordered a variety pack from amazon a while, ago.  Oops.....chemicals.  I didn't think of them that way.  So many folks utilize them.  I will ask my surgeons office tomorrow.

I agree with Lora..........WAY to early for bars........especially Quest.  I am almost 6 months out and still can not finish a whole one.  I think I started having one a day around 3 months.  They are a lifesaver now for a quick lunch!  Ask your Dr. but I would say wait a little while before trying.

I think if you tried them now........OUCH!!

Good luck on your journey!

Well thanks for the heads up.  Another item for the freezer I guess.  I sure don't want to get sick.  So far I have been very lucky about not getting sick.  Just one stuck turkey episode but it was memorable shall,I say.  So thanks for the advice.

I'm 11 weeks out and can eat Quest bars. I just can't eat the whole thing.   1/2 the bar is 10 grams of protein and I can eat it if I take small bites and chew really well (which is actually how I do everything!).  They do sell single bars on tge Quest site so you can buy one to try if you'd like.  The original line is the best, made with no sugar, no sugar alcohols and lots and lots of fiber, which I can't seem to get in.  Also, the fudge brownie and the cookie dough are just amazing!  I only have 1/2 of the bar a few times a week and have just started eating them last week.  Good luck!

Call me stupid but how do I know what is in the original line.  I want to order the variety box from the Quest website for 24.99 I think but is it the original line?

GNC has the Quest bars "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" right now which comes out to about $2.09 per bar.  The chocolate chip cookie dough and the lemon creme pie flavors are my picks because they are softer/chewier.  I eat 1/2 bar at a time.

Hi. I started Quest Brownie at 6 weeks and could only eat 1/2 because it is so dense. Now I have one a day without a problem at 4 months out.  They are great!
