NSV Exercise
So, my daughter and I went to the gym this afternoon. I REALLY didn't want to go, but she was determined to use the tanning bed, so I went. While there, I thought..."What the heck, let's make the most of this!" In the past, I've just used the exercycle for 20 minutes without going but about 2.5 miles or so. Then I'd go on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes at 2.8-3.0. Finishing with equipment to strengthen my arms and thighs, and a few crunches. Today, I went 4 miles in 20 minutes on the bike, and 3.0-3.4 on the treadmill. Now that may not seem like much to some, but for me...a major accomplishment. Next, I will go for 5 miles, then 6...so on. Eventually, I'll be posting about a bike marathon that I've completed! I used to LOVE riding, but haven't been on a real bike since before my daughter was born. She's soon to be 16. Also, I increased the number of strengthening exercises that I've been doing. It was a great workout and I owe my daughter a tremendous THANK YOU! Just had to share :)
