Next day done

My surgery was yesterday and I'm doing pretty good. I had an issue last night with nausea and I've learned not to wait to push my morphine button. Before the pain gets bad go ahead and push that button. I got nauseated with my pain. Awful feeling. But other than that I've done good. Yayyyyyy I'm on the losers bench!!!!!!

Glad to hear you are doing well. Keep sipping and walk as much as you can. Each day will get a little easier. So just hang in there!

I wasn't allowed to drink anything yesterday after my surgery but they will be starting my liquid diet today. My mouth is just so dry.

not even ice chips? :(

I'm on my 10th day out and I'm soooo sick of these shakes!! Make sure you have a variety of them because its starting to make me nauseous just thinking about them! Good luck and congrats!

7 days out and same here....I start dreading it an hour before I have to do it.  Also darn sick of broth.  I'm saving the jello for when I just can't tolerate anything else, kinda like a treat.  Lost 11 lbs since the surgery though..so must be doing something right, even if it is gross.

I couldn't even have ice chips the first day. I tried them yesterday and it hurt my pouch from it being really cold. I've been doing pretty good with keeping every other liquid down just as long as they aren't too cold or too hot. I'm still in the hospital though because the couldn't get my oxygen level to stay up. It looks like its doing pretty good this morning though So hopefully I can go home today.
