Topic search help: emotional eating

I hope I'm not being a pest. The only Internet I have at home is on my phone and there's no way to do a search here on the mobile site. When I tap on desktop site it just takes me back to mobile.

I'm looking for alternative coping mechanisms for stress/anger/frustration. I eat when I get away from the situation. It's part of the release. Does anyone have a link or suggestion to share?

I used food to cope with so much, even to celebrate and reward myself.  It was like the loss of a primary relationship after surgery.  Music helps, massages, my animals.  Good luck to you!

This is a huge one for me. Check out The Beck Diet Solution (Judith Beck) and 50 Ways to Soothe Yourself Without Food (Susan Albers).  If you're on facebook, simply 'like' them. The Beck Diet Solution will have a little tidbit (cheerleading) for you on a daily basis. I own both of the books but facebook may be all you need.  The Beck Diet Solution is my 'go to' and daily read. I'm retraining my brain:)

Thank! I ordered it, and it should be here by Tuesday. I'm hoping the nut will see that as a point in my favor. I see her on Monday.
