How were your incisions closed? Drainor no drain?

Topic based out of curiosity. How were you incisions closed? Did you have a drain? I was surprised to wake up and have no drain and my incisions were glued shut with no external stitches. I was surprised by this.

My incisions were stapled and I had a drain for two weeks.

ive since read that this is a less advanced or "old school" way of doing surgery, but no complaints here! I've had no complications.

I had lap incisions that were glued and steri strips. I had a drain for a few weeks and the hole that was left when it was removed left the worst scar of all the surgery.

My surgery isn't until the 24th but my doctor said I will be glued and have no drains. Thank goodness!!

I had a drain for a week and dissolving stitches.... the drain was not fun! I was really sore around it and thankfully my husband was great about emptying it for me....
