I swear every challenge before and after surgery i feel like i have now been given. I have pushed through it all though and continue to do so. It hasn't been easy. The first 2 weeks after surgery i was spoiled i felt great. Now 5 weeks out things have taken a bit of a turn. I am dehydrated, have a UTI, and i found out today my hypothyroidism has turned into hyperthyroid.. meaning my medication/weight loss is causing me to overproduce thyroid hormone.. my medication is being decreased. This wasn't a test the doctor ordered i just wanted to double check because i have been soooo tired and miserable. Fluids are still just not going in as much as they need to and i am pushing it to full on pain at times.

Still feel like i have been given the greatest gift in the world though even if i am having a few minor issues. I need to stop getting on myself about my weight though.. i always feel like i am losing too slowly. I am down 21 pounds since surgery 5 weeks ago.

Your weight loss is just fine. Average at first is 3 to 5 pounds per week and you are there. Remember we didn't gain it overnight and won't lose it overnight either!

Right there with you except the first three weeks were a nightmare. I had a uti, severely dehydrated, kidney stones, kidney infection severely dehydrated again. It's just now getting easier. Still not meeting my fluid but everyday is a new day. I've lived off zofran and phenergan since surgery. I know I dehydrated by other symptoms. Just push through it! Five weeks out this week too.
I'm 26lbs down since surgery and 35 total.
