First consult tomorrow

What should I expect? I know I'll find out what clearances I'll need, then I'll meet with my advocate to get the insurance ready.

Any suggestions on what to ask? I know so much from my own research and from being on OH, but I don't want to miss something simple.

I won a bunch of tickets to various zoos and wildlife tours. Is it possible I might be able to use them 1-2 weeks post op?

good luck on your consult! I read the package a few times when I got home becuase there was SO much info. I went to my consult a couple weeks ago and my case was already sent to my insurance company. My consult was great. I spoke with the surgeon, dieticians, nurse practioner and insurance rep. I hope everything goes great for you!

Huh. Mine was totally different from yours. Yours sounds like what they do on the pre-op day a week before surgery. I saw the np and gave my insurance stuff to my advocate. The np just told me I had to have some tests done, have to lose 15-20 pounds before surgery, and went over the basics of the surgery. I already had everything ready to submit to insurance, so there wasn't really much left to do.

Good luck. I had my first visit 6 weeks ago, with everybody and it was a ton of info. I took a legal pad and wrote stuff down and still have the pad that I write questions I have so when I have my next appt I can ask.
