About 10 months post-op...never care if I eat
I never give a crap if I eat or when I might eat next. I try to schedule 3 meals but it usually ends up to be a small lunch, small dinner, and a small snack around 10 pm. If I forget to bring my lunch to work it doesn't concern me; I just don't eat all day until dinner.
Food has really lost all it's appeal. What hasn't lost it's appeal? Coffee! I swear I live on coffee, G2, and vitamins. I did eat some fish last night and hamburger today. Food tastes good I just don't get that hungry.
For most of us, except the lucky ones like Dana, the hunger does come back. If you want to reach your goal and have a better chance of staying there, I suggest you eat. I would not want to risk permanently messing up my metabolism.

I'm with Laura, we gave up the right to "forget" to eat when we had this surgery ... You need to eat your protein needs AT LEAST every day or you will be back here complaining in a year or two about gaining weight if you eat more than 1000 calories a day!!!!
Your metabolism is a precious thing - look after it!!!

Here's what I was told by the NUT: Make sure to eat a small snack in between meals. It is good to eat every 3 hours in order to keep blood sugars level. They elaborated that our bodies function best when the blood sugars don't have big highs and big lows. Hopefully, someone will post more info on this to confirm if it makes sense. Thanks.
I add 4 tablespoons of skim milk powder to a cup of coffee.... Gives my 9g of protein and 90 calories. I have 4 cups (sometimes 5) a day.... I have a hard time eating breakfast, and feel this way I am at least giving my body something to work on until mid morning snack.
