Yes. Some hospitals clearly need better trained people at the desk to assess who needs to be triaged first.  If they had bothered to triage me in a reasonable amount of time (and perhaps you as well), the triage nurse wold have known it was a true emergency.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

Yeah seriously!!!! I had chest pain! Another lady came in with chest pain she had an EKG immediately and got seen before me! I went in before her.. that kind of pissed me off. Granted, it wasn't true heart issues with me really bad pain like i said ulcer related but i had chest pain. It took me over an hour before i was even triaged. They really do need to prioritize who needs to be seen first. Sorry that happened to you! I felt so much better while admitted i got pain meds, more antacids, fluids, protonix i felt like a new person when i left besides being tired. DON'T THINK YOU WILL EVER SLEEP IN A HOSPITAL haha lesson learned! My roomie was so needy and whining ALL NIGHT~

Yeah the ER doctor was questioning how i knew i was having a hard time voiding DUHHH lol the RN the next morning had to give me some urine output ultrasound because the amount i was getting out she said wasn't normal especially after all of the fluids. I felt like i needed to be there.. not everyone does though that's for sure.. then you have the pill seekers that go just for that reason too uhg

Also, SF Popsicles are a good way to get in extra fluids.
