nausea

I'm two weeks out from surgery I had my first scrambled egg tonight and I feel horrible, I can't go to the bathroom. I'm nauseous so bad but am trying so hard not to throw up I ate slowly and chewed thirty times each bite. My go to Woolf be ginger ale and I would be fine but I obviously can't now, does any one have any tips howyou have kicked some naseousness and why I am so sick feeling

In the hospital a washcloth dipped in actual ice water wrung out placed on the back of my neck then my throat and the back of my neck switching every few minutes is wha made me feel better and i kept one on my forhead most of the first day.

Some people have problems with eggs for some reason. Two things worked for me early out, I tried one if it didn't work I did the second. Sometimes walking or pacing in the house helped, semmed to help it go through quicker. If that didn't work I'd lay on my left side for about half hour. One or the other usually worked.

If Ginger Ale has worked for you in the past, then I would suggest you keep some fresh ginger on hand. Peel the ginger, slice thin, and then place two thin slices on your tongue until nausea subsides.

This is the strangest thing, but in the hospital they would give me an alcohol swab to smell. Weird, right? It worked great!!

Alcohol swabs is what they gave me too.  And it worked.  You just smell them and the nauseousness goes away.  Weird but it worked.  Eggs where hard for me and too this day a hit an miss.  Hope you feel better soon.
